1 Peter 5:6–7 reminds us that we do not have to carry the weight of our worries on our own. Peter calls us to humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God and to cast all our anxieties on Him because He cares for us.

These two thoughts belong together. Humility means recognizing that we are not in control and trusting the One who is. Instead of holding tightly to our fears, trying to work everything out ourselves, or depending only on our own strength, we can bring every care to God.

And Peter gives us a beautiful reason why: because He cares for you.

God is not distant from the fears and burdens we carry. We can trust His power, His timing, and His care even when we cannot see what He is doing. Our circumstances may not change when we want them to, but we can rest knowing they are held by a faithful God.
