Our Favorite Frames

We regularly get questions about framing recommendations for our prints. All of the size options in our shop are pretty standard and should be easy to find at any store that sells frames, and a lot depends on personal style preference, but we do have some personal favorites that we use in our own home. Here they are!

Knox Wood Creations Frames

If we could pick a single favorite framing option, this would be it. Knox Wood Creations is a small family run business out of Knoxville, TN. They craft each frame by hand from solid walnut, maple, and cherry wood. We love the corner detail on each frame and everything we’ve put up on our walls with these frames look incredible. Couldn’t recommend them more highly!

STiiCKs Magnetic Poster Hangers

These magnetic print/poster hangers come in different sizes and wood colors, but we really like the simple, clean look they give for displaying art. It makes the art more of the focus than the frame itself. We’ve purchased several different sizes and color options of these and have never been disappointed with the end result.

Barnwood Frames

There are several options for frames on Amazon.com. Just type what you’re looking for into the search bar and you’ll have more choices than you know what to do with. But one of the frames we’ve purchased on Amazon is made of real reclaimed barn wood. There are several sizes available and even different color options, but we like the natural weathered gray frame.

Gold Metal Frames

Frames with a thin, gold metal border have such a classic look. We’ve purchased these ones from Target as well as this one from IKEA are love the look of them both. Bonus: the IKEA one comes with the option to hang on the wall with the included gold chain or stand up on a table or shelf with the included gold stand.

Michaels & Hobby Lobby

When all else fails, check out your local Michaels or Hobby Lobby and you will find a frame in every size, shape, and color imaginable. And if you still can’t find one that suits your fancy, both stores have a custom framing department. Oh, and don’t forget these stores almost always have a coupon available so when you’re shopping for frames on a budget, it’s a great way to go!
