Our New Kentucky Home
After weeks of silence, we are here to let you all know that we made it to Louisville, KY! We arrived on September 7th and the last five weeks have been full of unloading and unpacking and getting things set up in our new home and home studio. After about three months of being in intense “moving mode” it feels great to be (almost) on the other side of it and to start to see glimpses of normal life again.
Not everything went smoothly, but we can truly say we have so much to give thanks for. God is so faithful, even through unexpected difficulties and setbacks. He’s doing so much more than meets the eye and has been using this whole process to sanctify us and loosen our grip on things, including our sense of control over situations.
We are really enjoying Kentucky, getting to know our new neighborhood and surroundings, loving our new church body, and incredibly thankful for the opportunity to work from our own home. Even in the midst of some chaos, life has already felt so much slower and simpler and that has been wonderful!
One huge setback was that it was much harder than we anticipated to get our laser engraver into its new home. It suffered some damages along the way, but with much patience and prayer, it’s now hooked back up and running again. As you know, this machine is a huge part of what we do with Scripture Type and what we’re able to create, so we truly just give the glory to God that it’s still running because the truth is, after what it’s been through the past month, it shouldn’t be. And we’re all the more thankful for it!
And we have said it before, but we want to say it again here that we are so thankful for all of you who have been so patient with us throughout the process. We know that many orders have been delayed, many emails and messages buried, and you have been so kind to bear with us. We can’t thank you enough for that!
We’re excited to get back in the game and start creating new designs as we gear up for the holidays! And as a side note, for those of you here in Louisville or nearby, we will have a booth at Made Market's holiday market on December 7th and we’d love to meet you there!
