Adoption - Part 2

We’re so thankful for so many of you who have reached out and sent so much encouragement and advice over the past few weeks since we shared about our adoption. We’ve been blown away by your kindness, sending us books, typing up pages of your own adoption experiences, sharing your wisdom and heart with us. Thank you for caring for us in this way and for your prayers!

The Lord has been faithful to continue to lead and guide us and increase our faith. We wanted to share a few more of the details as things move forward. After years of praying about adopting and all of the various routes there are to take, we’ve decided to adopt internationally and more specifically we have decided to pursue adopting siblings from the country of Colombia, South America.

We’ve talked about adopting siblings for a long time and would love the opportunity to keep children together, to be raised in the same family, who may otherwise be separated. Colombia is one of the countries that has a lot of sibling groups in need of adoption and as we have learned more about adopting from Colombia, there are so many things that line up with specific details we’ve been desiring/praying about in our future adoption.

It’s been fun to start to learn more about this country and begin to sharpen our Spanish speaking (our girls are loving learning a new language)! As we continue to walk forward in a more specific direction, we continue to pray and depend on God’s leading every step of the way. We’re excited to see what He has in store!
