Stuff We Love - Spring Edition

We’re super pumped that spring is here, but one of the things we’ve learned to appreciate about the cold winter months is the opportunity it brings to read, listen, and watch things as we are cozied up indoors. We wanted to share some of the resources we’ve really enjoyed over the past few months and hope they encourage you as much as they have us!

Listen

Our pastor is preaching through the book of Matthew. There have been so many sermons that have really helped us in practically applying some very familiar, but incredibly profound teachings of Jesus. We especially loved the teaching through the Sermon on the Mount and zooming in on each phrase of the Lord’s Prayer. You can find all of those sermons here (there are quite a few so you can scroll down through to find the ones I mentioned here, but you can’t go wrong with any of them).

Watch

We’ve also been loving the video series put out by Radical called Neighborhoods and Nations. These videos are so well done and so informative on God’s work and His church in countries all over the globe. There are many countries we will never see with our own eyes, but these videos give such a great glimpse into the places and people of those countries and how we be more informed to pray specifically. Along with that, Radical has put out a book called “Let All The Peoples Praise You,” a 30-day prayer guide. Each day has a small reflection from God’s Word alongside ways to pray for a particular country.

Read

We always love finding out about solid books for our kids, and it really helps when they’re also beautifully illustrated. 😉 A friend of ours founded a small publishing house called Gospel Grown. They recently gifted our foster son a book called “God Makes a World” and he loves it. It has rich theology put into easy-to-understand words focusing on the days of creation.
